LUDO (Original Concept Album, Music & Lyrics)
LUDO is an alternative rock band consisting of Andrew Volpe, Tim Ferrell, Tim Convy, and Matt Palermo. Originally from St. Louis , Ludo’s trademark high-energy rock is intelligent, and imaginative. In 2003 their self-titled first album debuted on self-founded Redbird Records, followed by EP “Broken Bride” (2005). 2008’s “You’re Awful I Love You” (2008), marked the band’s major label debut on Island Records. Their popularity grew as “Love Me Dead” rose to No. 8 in the U.S. Modern Rock Tracks, and the band performed on The Tonight Show, Jimmy Kimmel Live and festivals including Warped Tour and Lollapalooza. Their most recent fare, “Prepare the Preparations” (2010) spans topics as wide-ranging as robots, pirates, and star-crossed robbers on the run. ludorock.com
Stacey Weingarten (Adaptor/Co-Director)
Stacey Weingarten (Book/Adaptation/Co-Director) is a bookwriter, puppeteer, director, and producer (EP of Chinese Mother Jewish Daughter LLC). As a writer she’s exploring subjects as varied as the Paris and the Algerian War in 5th Republic (NYMF '11 under “Les Enfants de Paris”), 1890’s New Orleans in Jarreau's (NYMF Reading ’12 under “Madame”), and time travel and true love in LUDO’s Broken Bride (ANT Fest '13; The Cutting Room). Family works include a fairytale about her adopted dog called Rescue Rue (NYMF & NYCTF ‘14), and series Monica’s Mixing Bowl that aims to demystify allergies and dietary restrictions. Stacey originated Bubbles the Fish in John Tartaglia's ImaginOcean Off Broadway and teaches puppetry at Pace University. She was also recently the Puppet Wrangler at Avenue Q Off-Broadway. FCLC ‘10. Dana Levinson (Additional Story/Arrangements/Music Supervisor) is a Musical Theatre composer, arranger and orchestrator. Steven Paul Blandino is thrilled to be making his NYMF debut! BFA in Commerical Dance from Pace University, with a focus in Choreography. His choreography credits include APAP at Peridance 2015, Young Choreographer’s Festival 2015/14, Choreographer’s Canvas 2015, Hero Awards: honoring Jerry Mitchell, Alvin Ailey Dance Soiree` (Winner), and was recently nominated for Outstanding Choreography for his work on Elise: A Musical (Off Broadway/Planet Connections Festival). Recently featured in an issue of Dance Magazine, and has received numerous awards and recognition for his work. Chinese Mother Jewish Daughter LLC (Executive Producer)
Chinese Mother Jewish Daughter supports a wide variety of new works in various stages of development. Formed in 2011 as a partnership between three multi-cultural and multi-generational women, Chinese Mother Jewish Daughter LLC is a production company that strives to support developing works that live where art and entertainment collide. Under the executive watch of Stacey Weingarten, the company develops original projects for stage and screen that explore a wide variety of subjects often with an agenda of social awareness through entertainment. CMJD LLC debuted at NYMF 2011 with Les Enfants de Paris (now titled 5th Republic), and has also been developing other musicals including Jarreau's (fka Madame the Musical, NYMF reading series 2012), LUDO's Broken Bride, and a 2014 NY Children's Festival world premiere--and NYMF 2014 hit!-- Rescue Rue.
In addition to theatrical projects in development, CMJD LLC is co-producing Monica’s Mixing Bowl, a series that challenges children and families to “make friends with food” by teaching tolerance through understanding of those with different dietary needs and restrictions.
Michael Chase Gosselin (Line Producer/General Manager)
Michael Chase Gosselin (Line Producer/ General Manager) is a professional producer and director based in NYC. He recently produced POPE! An Epic Musical in the 2015 New York Musical Theatre Festival, and served as the Artistic Director/Executive Producer of Act Three Theatricals from 2006 to 2012. In 2013, he co-produced and directed a developmental reading of Moby Dick- A Whale of a Tale for Cameron Mackintosh. As a Director/Choreographer, recent credits include Disney’s Tarzan (Vermont Premiere), The Wedding Singer and South Pacific (NCT), Rock Nativity (Regional Premiere), Hairspray, Chicago, a Vermont tour of The Complete History of America (Abridged), Next to Normal (Vermont Premiere), You're a Good Man, Charlie Brown and A Christmas Carol at the Helen Hayes Youth Theatre, and Legally Blonde the Musical for Clark University. Last spring, he helmed the New England and High School Premiere of Justin Moran’s The Spidey Project.
